If you run a shop
We hold your email address, your shop’s name and your WhatsApp number, and what you publish on your shop: photos, descriptions and prices. We use them to run your shop, send orders to your WhatsApp, and tell you about your account and plan.
If you report a shop
We hold your reason, anything you write, and the email or phone number you choose to leave, to look into the shop and to reply to you. The shop never sees any of it. We also keep a scrambled form of your network address, which cannot be turned back into the address, to spot floods of reports.
If you order from a shop
We hold your name, your phone number and any note you add. They are shared only with the shop you order from, and used only to fulfil your order. We never use them for marketing — not ours, not anyone’s.
If the shop has WhatsApp order alerts switched on, we send them your name, your number and your order total on WhatsApp the moment you order. That message goes through WhatsApp (Meta), from our number to the shop’s.
What else we record
- Scrambled (hashed) IP addresses, to limit abuse. We never store the address itself.
- Whether an order was sent on to WhatsApp, so a seller knows to expect it.
- How many times a day a shop’s QR code is opened — a count for the shop, nothing about who scanned it.
- Whether an order came within a day of scanning the shop’s QR code. Your browser keeps the time of the scan on your own phone — not a cookie — and only that yes or no goes with your order.
What we never do
We never sell data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep sellers signed in.
Who else handles it
We use trusted service providers for sign-in, hosting, storage and payments. They process data only to run bookmy.page, under our instructions. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
Your data is stored securely on servers in Singapore.
How long we keep it
- Orders are kept for 24 months. After that, the buyer’s name, number and note are erased; the order’s items and totals stay in the seller’s records.
- Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
- If a seller asks us to close their shop, we erase their personal details and anonymise their orders, apart from the records tax law makes us keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or complain about how we handle it. Write to contact@bookmy.page. We usually reply within 2 working days.
